Remember The Milk Adds iPhone Support & More
If Remember the Milk continues to innovate at this pace, the Republic of Geektronica might have to officially become a fanblog of the shiny web2.0 to-do list manager.
Less than two weeks ago RTM launched an iPhone-optimized version of RTM Mobile.
I use RTM Mobile on my AT&T 8525, which runs Windows Mobile 5, but it’s not nearly as slick as the desktop version. Most of the time, I use my phone to add tasks via Twitter (via SMS), and only do complicated editing on a desktop computer. While slow over the air, RTM Mobile does let you do just about anything you need to. RTM for iPhone looks like it will be a significant improvement.
Today, RTM added a slew of new GTD-friendly features that make RTM even more user-friendly. Some highlights:
- Option to display tags before or after the item description, rather than just in the sidebar - this is a significant improvement for heavy tag users, since before you had to select the item to see or click on its tags. If you don’t like the new feature, you can turn it off.
- More detailed date information shown in the list, again without having to select the item
- Gmail-like keyboard shortcuts (j & k) for moving up and down the list
- More advanced tagging and smartlist features
RTM for iPhone is pro-only feature ($25/year), but you can try it free for 15 days, and it also works via wifi on the iPod Touch.

I noticed today that Jott now supports RTM natively. Before, you could add your RTM inbox address as a contact, but the new integration has more features. Jott lets you leave a voicemail and have it transcribed and passed to various services. Pretty cool, and they’re local.
[...] The Republic of Geektopia (see all its RTM posts ) and David Chartier have both written fine posts on how they Get Things Done with Remember the Milk and its tools which I won’t repeat here. [...]
